The Office of Community Affairs works to engage all members of the Memphis community by serving as City government’s liaison to key constituent groups including neighborhood associations, multicultural and immigrant populations, faith-based, civic and human service organizations.

Our Office of Intergovernmental Relations coordinates the City of Memphis’ relationships with all other government entities – including federal, state, county and other cities. The office coordinates the City’s legislative efforts in both Washington, D.C., and Nashville and works to identify grant opportunities for all City divisions.

The Violence Intervention Program (VIP) provides proactive and holistic support to individuals in Memphis affected by violence. VIP reduces violence in our community by engaging at-risk individuals affected by or vulnerable to gun violence through suppression and prevention.
The vision of MOYS is to become a center point for all youth-oriented services and enrichment programs in the City of Memphis by focusing on initiatives that add value through education, health, employability and justice.
