The Memphis Fire Department will host its Annual Firefighter Memorial Service on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Fire Museum of Memphis.
The annual ceremony honors the 59 Memphis firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty while serving the City of Memphis.
Fire Chief Colin D. Burress, Mayor Paul A. Young, members of the Memphis Fire Department, families of fallen firefighters, city leaders, and community
members will gather to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to others.
The ceremony will include remarks from Fire Chief Colin D. Burress and Mayor Paul A. Young, the reading of the names of the fallen,
the presentation of memorial roses to families and loved ones, the tolling of the bell, and other traditional fire service honors.
