City of Memphis Announces Nearly $6.5M in FY26 Grant Awards to Strengthen Local Communities
MEMPHIS, Tennessee, July 14, 2025 – The City of Memphis Division of Housing and Community Development (HCD) is awarding nearly $6.5 million in grant funding to local nonprofit agencies through the FY26 Strategic Community Investment Fund (SCIF).
Funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the City of Memphis, SCIF is a competitive grant process designed to support community-led solutions in housing, homelessness prevention, and neighborhood revitalization. These grants represent a major investment in the people and places that make Memphis home.
Funding will support a variety of programs and services delivered between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, including:
- Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
- Community Service Grant (CSG)
- Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS/HIV (HOPWA)
- HOME-Funded Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (HOME-TBRA)
- Neighborhood Partnership Grant (NPG)
Through SCIF, HCD continues its mission of advancing equity, expanding access to housing, and improving the quality of life for all Memphis residents.
