FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MEMPHIS, Tenn. September 4, 2026, Beginning Friday, Sept. 4, Riverside Drive will be closed overnight between Beale Street and Georgia Avenue on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights as part of the City of Memphis’ ongoing efforts to improve safety in Downtown.
The closure will be in effect from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.
Closure details:
WHERE: Riverside Drive from Beale Street to Georgia Avenue
WHEN: 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.
DAYS: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights
BEGINS: Friday, Sept. 4
Drivers should use alternate routes during the overnight closure.
