MEMPHIS, Tenn., April 4th, 2026. The City of Memphis advises residents and visitors that Riverside Drive will close beginning Monday morning, April 6, to accommodate preparations for the RiverBeat Festival.
City contractors will begin closure operations between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. The closure will follow the same traffic control plan used during prior Riverside construction work.
Closure Details:
- Riverside Drive will be closed between Beale Street and Georgia Avenue
- Closure begins Monday, April 6, between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
- Detours will be clearly marked
- Pedestrian access to riverfront amenities will remain open
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes and allow additional travel time in the downtown area.
The City of Memphis will continue to provide updates as needed.
