MEMPHIS, Tenn., Dec. 8, 2025 —The City of Memphis government offices will be closed on January 1, 2026, in observance of New Year’s. There will be NO solid waste collection service for residents serviced by the City of Memphis Solid Waste Management on this day.
Thursday, customers are asked to have their carts on the curb Friday. Friday customers will be serviced on Friday. Excess trash and yard waste services will be limited for customers the week of the holiday.
Residents serviced by Team Waste will experience a one-day delay. Thursday customers are asked to present their carts on Friday at the curb, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
Remember to have carts at the curbside by 7:00 a.m. on collection day.
