MEMPHIS, Tenn. May 26, 2026 — The City of Memphis government offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. There will be no solid waste collection service for residents served by the City of Memphis Solid Waste Management on that day.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, customers will receive collection service on their normal schedule. Thursday and Friday, customers will be serviced on Thursday.
City crews will work overtime to restore collection services by the close of business on Saturday.
Residents served by Team Waste will receive normal collection service during the week of June 15, 2026. Customers should place carts at the curb on their regular collection day. Please note that excess trash and yard waste collection services will be limited during the holiday week.
