The contracts below are exempt from competitive procurement:

• Professional Services (Architects, Engineers, MOU’s, Grants, etc.)
• Single Source (Negotiate with and purchase from one vendor due to required technology or uniqueness.)
• Sole Source (Only one supplier meets requirements – technical, legal, patents, copyrights, etc.)
• Small Purchases (Purchases under 5,000.00 that divisions may utilize within a fiscal year)
  
  

The City solicits sealed quotes for purchases over $5,000.00.

Vendors must be registered with the City in order to respond to solicitations. Quotes, bids, or proposals submitted by businesses that are not registered with the City may be rejected. Registered vendors receive email notifications when new solicitations pertaining to their area of interest are posted to the website. There is no cost to register as a vendor with the City of Memphis.
