1:30pm – 2:45pm | Session 3 – Towards a National Home Repair Movement
America’s housing stock is much like Memphis. The majority of it is older and needs much repair, yet our finance and policy environment encourages new builds over housing preservation and repair. The upshot of that is an unhealthy and unsafe housing stock, particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. This session will explore the nascent National Home Repair Movement being spearheaded by the national philanthropy, researchers, home repair professionals, advocates, and YOU. Come hear about and join the movement to put home repair back on the federal policy agenda.
