Organization (CHDO) Program

Partner with Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) who have been designated through the City with the primary purpose of providing and developing safe, quality, and affordable housing for the community it serves. Funding can be used for acquisition, rehabilitation, and/or new construction of rental, lease-purchase, and/or homebuyer properties for low-to-moderate income families/individuals. 


Eligibility to become a CHDO:
Organized for the purpose of providing decent, affordable housing.
No individual benefit to members, founders, or contributors.
Clearly defined geographic service area.
Nonprofit status.
A board that is representative of the community it serves.
Demonstrate at least one year of experience in serving the community where the housing will be developed
