February 20 Update
Here are the changes in service and operations due to the winter weather.
Trash Collection:
Trash collection will be suspended for Thursday, February 20.
Customers are asked to place their carts on their scheduled collection day and leave them until serviced.
Memphis Public Libraries:
The regional branches, including Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, Whitehaven, Cordova, and Raleigh, will be open from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on February 20. All other branches will be closed.
Memphis Animal Services: MAS will be open to the public on February 20.
Memphis Parks: Memphis Parks and Community Centers facilities will resume normal operations. Golf courses will remain closed due to the frigid temperatures.
Warming Centers:
In partnership with the City of Memphis, the Hospitality Hub operates two warming centers open for those who need to escape the cold. Beginning Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 7:00 pm, we will remain open until further notice. Until further notice, the centers are open 24 hours a day. Single women and their families will be housed at the Hospitality Hub at 590 Washington Avenue. Single men and couples will stay at the First Baptist Church at 200 East Parkway North.
Transportation to the warming centers can be arranged by calling Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) at 901-297-1680 during warming center hours.
MATA:
Memphis Area Transit Authority (MATA) will continue operating a reduced route schedule.
Here are the routes that will operate on February 20
MATA will operate the following eight routes: • Route 11 • Route 36 • Route 39 • Route 40 • Route 42 • Route 50 • Route 52 • Route 57.
All trips for Ready! and Groove On Demand will be suspended.
MATA Plus will serve life-sustaining trips only.
