MEMPHIS, Tenn. April 18, 2025. Mayor Paul Young, Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis, and Downtown Memphis Commission President Chandell Ryan will host the Grand Opening of the Downtown Command Center on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 2:15 PM at 250 Peabody Place, Suite 102. The ribbon cutting will be followed by a “Protecting What Matters” press conference outlining the Memphis Police Department’s ongoing strategies to build a safer, smarter, and stronger city.

The Downtown Command Center is a new, state-of-the-art facility designed to serve as a central hub for real-time monitoring, public safety coordination, and emergency response. Located in the heart of downtown, it reflects the city’s growing investment in technology and innovation to better protect residents, businesses, and visitors.
