MEMPHIS, Tenn., November 18, 2025 – The City of Memphis announced today that all government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, in observance of Thanksgiving.
There will be no solid waste collection for residents serviced by the City of Memphis Solid Waste Management division on these dates.
- Tuesday and Wednesday customers: Place carts at the curb Tuesday, Nov. 25.
- Thursday and Friday customers: Place carts at the curb Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Excess trash and yard waste collections will be limited during the holiday week.
Residents serviced by Team Waste will experience a one-day delay:
- Thursday customers: Collection will occur Friday, Nov. 28.
- Friday customers: Collection will occur Saturday, Nov. 29.
All residents are reminded to have carts at the curb by 7 a.m. on their collection day.
