MEMPHIS, Tenn.— March 18, 2026— After a $5 million transformation that revitalized one of the city’s most historic public golf courses, The Links at Pine Hill is preparing to host a major new chapter in Memphis golf. From April 9–12, 2026, the Sapphire Golf Tour will bring its season-opening Bluff City Women’s Open to South Memphis, showcasing the premier professional platform for women of color in golf.
Through the Accelerate Memphis initiative, the City of Memphis invested $5 million into the Links at Pine Hill. The improvements modernized the historic 90-year-old municipal course, located at 759 East Pine Hill Drive, enhancing course conditions, accessibility, and community amenities while positioning Pine Hill as one of the Mid-South’s premier public golf destinations.
“The investment in Pine Hill created a community asset in South Memphis that is providing big opportunities for the entire city,” said Memphis Mayor Paul Young. “As we attract more events and more visitors, we are also creating a better experience for the people who live, work, and grow in this community.”
On Saturday, April 11, professional players from the Sapphire Golf Tour will lead a hands-on Junior Golf Clinic for Memphis youth. Participants will receive mentorship, encouragement, and the chance to learn directly from professional athletes who reflect the diversity of the communities they represent.
“This event is about introducing kids to the game, giving them role models they can see themselves in,” said Justice Bolden, Director of Memphis Parks. “It’s about building a pathway for the next generation of golfers right here in Memphis.”
