MEMPHIS, Tenn., November 17, 2025 – East Shady Grove Road will be fully closed to through traffic between South Shady Grove Road and Humphreys Boulevard beginning Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. The closure will remain in place until approximately 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, to allow crews to complete sewer and paving work.
Motorists who typically travel this section of East Shady Grove Road are advised to use alternate routes during the closure, and should expect delays.
A signed detour will direct drivers along South Shady Grove Road, Briarcrest Avenue, North Quail Hollow Road, Kirby Parkway, and Humphreys Boulevard.
Local traffic will be permitted on East Shady Grove Road up to the point of closure. Access to properties within the work zone will be maintained throughout construction.
This project is being managed by the City of Memphis Division of Public Works. Superior Traffic Control is responsible for all traffic control measures.
