A lieutenant with the Memphis Fire Department was recently honored with a national award. Lt. Kevin SpratlinLt. Kevin Spratlin won a Hooley Award for his work with the department’s Healthcare Navigator program.

The program pairs a physician with a medic on calls that do not need an ambulance. The duo then responds to the call and after examining the patient decides the best care option. It’s just one way the department is helping Memphis in new and innovative ways while freeing up resources.

The Hooley Awards are held annually and recognize leaders working in emergency response and health fields for exemplary work. Winners were chosen by a panel of judges and announced at the 10th annual ImageTrend Connect Conference in Lakeville, MN.

Congratulations to Lieutenant Spratlin and the Memphis Fire Department!
