The City of Memphis continues to make strides in many areas in October, including a decrease in false alarms and euthanasia rate . There was also a continued increase in Library program attendance.

The number of false alarms is down 20.6 percent, allowing more officers to respond to actual emergencies.

Violent crime is also down 5.34 percent year-to-date through October.

Euthanasia for time/space is down 68.6 percent calendar year-to-date, meaning fewer animals are being euthanized at Memphis Animal Services.

Library program attendance continues to increase and is up 50.6 percent fiscal year to date.

Performance data is always available in real time at data.memphistn.gov. These point-in-time reports come from the Office of Performance Management’s monthly report to Mayor Jim Strickland, which can be viewed here.
