The City of Memphis made strides in key areas in May, including 911 response time, the violent crime rate, and the save rate at Memphis Animal Services.

911 response time was 55.6 percent faster than one year ago. In May 2017, the average response time was 18.3 seconds; in May 2018 it was 8.12 seconds.

The number of violent crime incidents was down 8.5 percent year-to-date through May.

Memphis Animal Services met its goal of a 90 percent save rate, which was five percent higher than in May of 2017.
