Memphis, TN. Mayor Paul Young joined the Mayors for Parks Coalition, a coalition managed by City Parks Alliance. The national bipartisan coalition was created in 2013 and includes mayors from large and small cities across the country who advocate for increased federal funding for our nation’s urban parks. The Coalition is chaired by Fort Worth, TX Mayor Mattie Parker.
Effective immediately, Morrison Avenue between Madison and Court will be closed during business hours for approximately two weeks due to a sewer repair project.
On June 19, all Memphis Public Libraries, city pools, community centers, and senior centers will be closed in observance of Juneteenth. If your trash day is Wednesday, it will be picked up on Thursday.
White Station Road between Park Avenue and Poplar Avenue will be closed to through traffic on Monday, June 17, 2024, from 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. to allow Norfolk Southern Railroad to repair the railroad tracks crossing White Station Rd.
Construction will occur at Walnut Grove at Farm Rd affecting vehicle, bike, and pedestrian traffic. The construction is connected to pedestrian and bicyclist safety improvements.
