City Hall

Built in the 1960s, Memphis City Hall is a 300,000 square feet building that takes up half a city block and currently houses several City Divisions including Finance, Housing and Public Development, Planning, Communications, and City Council support staff. City Council chambers are located on the first floor of City Hall, and an outdoor plaza connects the building with other entities.

In 2020, City Hall started undergoing major improvements to the building façade, and sections of the exterior continue to be blocked off for construction purposes as those projects are ongoing.
